Site Description Ultra Freeze

The Ultra Freeze is a 195-foot long steel-hulled freighter that was scuttled in 1984 to create an artificial reef. It is located approximately 2 miles north of Fowey Rocks Lighthouse in Miami, Florida. The wreck sits in 120 feet of water and is a popular destination for wreck divers. The Ultra Freeze is home to a variety of marine life, including schools of fish, shrimp, crabs, lobsters, and turtles. Divers have also reported seeing sharks, rays, and eels in the area.
