Tortugas Reef, also known as Akumal Reef, is a popular dive site located just off the coast of Akumal, Mexico. It is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second-largest coral reef system in the world. The reef is known for its abundance of sea turtles, which are often seen swimming alongside divers. In addition to turtles, the reef is home to a variety of other marine life, including tropical fish, rays, sharks, and even manatees.
