Tormentos Reef is a large reef system located in the Mexican Caribbean, about 30 miles (48 km) east of Cancun.
It is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second-largest coral reef system in the world.
The reef is known for its strong currents, which can make it a challenging dive for even experienced divers.
However, the strong currents also attract a wide variety of marine life, including sharks, turtles, and dolphins.
