Site Description The M40 Tank

The M40 Tank is a unique dive site renowned for its underwater tank, intentionally placed here in the early 1990’s as an artificial reef, catering to both beginners and experienced divers. Easily accessible from the shore, the M40 Tank dive site lies just a few hundred meters from the coastline at a depth of 6 meters. As you descend into the depths of the M40 Tank Dive Site, you’ll encounter an abundance of marine life, including colorful corals and schools of fish. The highlight of the dive is undoubtedly the tank itself, sitting upright on the sandy sea floor and serving as a haven for a variety of marine creatures. Covered in soft corals and sponges, the M40 Tank often hosts a variety of fish swimming in and out of its crevices. As you circle the tank, you’ll also discover several other artificial structures placed in the area to create additional habitats for marine life.
