Site Description The Attiki

The Attiki shipwreck is a cargo ship that ran aground in 1978 while en route to Port Sudan with a cargo of cement. The ship flooded and was abandoned. Today, the Attiki sits in about 10-12 meters of water, making it a popular dive for both experienced and novice divers. The wreck is home to a variety of marine life, including coral reefs, fish, and sharks. Divers can explore the ship’s holds, engine room, and other compartments. The Attiki is a great dive site for those interested in wreck diving or underwater photography. If you are planning a diving trip to the Red Sea, the Attiki is a wreck that you should definitely consider adding to your list. Just be sure to dive with a reputable operator who is familiar with the site.
