The Tenneco Towers are an artificial reef made up of five oil rigs that were donated by the Tenneco Oil Company in 1985 and sunk by the Broward County Artificial Reef Program. The rigs are located approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southeast of Port Everglades, Florida, in 60 to 100 feet (18 to 30 m) of water. The Tenneco Towers are one of the most popular dive sites in Southeast Florida and are home to a wide variety of marine life, including sponges, corals, fish, turtles, and even sharks.
