Shaab Sheer, also known as Shaab Shehr or Reef of City, is a beautiful horseshoe-shaped reef located south of Safaga in the Red Sea, Egypt. It’s a popular dive site known for its stunning coral formations, diverse marine life, and relatively shallow depths, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels.

What to Expect at Shaab Sheer:
Varied Reef Structure: Shaab Sheer boasts a rich and colorful reef with plenty to explore. The shallow areas are teeming with vibrant coral formations and a variety of fish life. Divers can explore a labyrinth of swim-throughs, canyons, and small caves. The deeper areas offer stunning coral walls with large sea fans and sponges.
Marine Life: Shaab Sheer is a haven for marine life. Expect to see schools of colorful fish like anthias, butterflyfish, damselfish, angelfish, and clownfish. Keep an eye out for larger creatures like moray eels, stingrays, Napoleon wrasse, and even the occasional reef shark.
Drift Dives: The currents at Shaab Sheer can sometimes be moderate, making it a great spot for drift dives. Divers can relax and enjoy the underwater scenery as they drift along the reef with the current.
