Shaab Nakari is a reef located 4 kilometers off the Egyptian coast and 18 kilometers south of Marsa Alam. It’s a relatively unknown dive site compared to others in the area, making it a good choice for scuba divers who want to avoid crowds. Location: 4 kilometers off the Egyptian coast, 18 kilometers south of Marsa Alam Depth: The reef itself is around 20 meters deep, while the seabed around it can reach much deeper depths. Type of Dive: Drift dive Currents: Can be mild to moderate Skill Level: Shaab Nakari is suitable for divers of all levels, but due to the currents, some experience is recommended. Marine Life: Shaab Nakari boasts a variety of marine life, including clownfish, anemonefish, turtles, moray eels, and Napoleon wrasse. The sandy seabed around the reef is also home to interesting creatures like the Red Sea walkman. Reef Features: The northern side of Shaab Nakari offers beautiful dives along walls covered with soft and hard corals. The southern side has suffered some damage from anchors, but there are still some healthy coral formations to be seen.
