Shaab Ghadir Soghayr is an egg-shaped bank reef located in the northern part of the Radir/Ghadir group, about 8 kilometers off the mainland and 29 kilometers south of Marsa Alam, Egypt. It is 330 meters long and 220 meters wide, offering a beautiful coral garden teeming with marine life.
Since it’s not frequented by many liveaboards, Shaab Ghadir is a great destination for divers who want a less crowded underwater experience.
Here’s some information for divers considering a trip to Shaab Ghadir:
Entry Point: Divers typically enter the water via RIB (rigid-inflatable boat) at a designated entry point.
Depth: The coral garden starts at a depth of 18 meters, and the dive follows the reef back to the mooring point, with depths ranging from 15 to 16 meters.
Highlights: The dive site boasts a rich coral reef with a variety of colorful corals and fish. Divers can also spot interesting critters like garden eels.
If you’re planning a diving trip to Marsa Alam, Shaab Ghadir should definitely be on your list!
