Site Description Punta Baru

Punta Baru is a small peninsula located in the Gulf of Morrosquillo, about an hour and a half by car from Cartagena, Colombia. The area is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and abundant marine life. Punta Baru is a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkeling, and there are several dive shops in the area that offer guided tours. The waters around Punta Baru are home to a wide variety of marine life, including: Tropical fish: There are over 1,000 species of tropical fish found in the Caribbean Sea, and many of them can be seen in the waters around Punta Baru. Some of the most popular fish to see include angelfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, and tangs. Sea turtles:Sea turtles are common visitors to the waters around Punta Baru, and there are several species that can be seen in the area, including green sea turtles, hawksbill sea turtles, and loggerhead sea turtles.
