Pozo del Tio, translating to “Uncle’s Well” in English, is a renowned deep-diving site located off the coast of Argentina. This submerged geological formation is characterized by its dramatic vertical drop-off, creating a truly unique and challenging underwater experience.
While the depth of Pozo del Tio makes it less abundant in the typical colorful reef fish, the site offers a different kind of marine biodiversity. Large pelagic species such as sharks, rays, and large schools of fish are often spotted. The unique geological structure also supports a variety of deep-sea invertebrates and unusual marine life adapted to the extreme conditions.
