North Deerfield Ledges is a popular scuba diving and snorkeling site located off the coast of Deerfield Beach, Florida. This artificial reef is composed of a series of concrete ledges and culverts that were intentionally sunk in 1970 to create a habitat for marine life. The ledges start at a depth of 15 feet and reach a maximum depth of 30 feet, making them accessible to divers of all skill levels. North Deerfield Ledges is home to a variety of marine life, including tropical fish, sea turtles, lobsters, and crabs. Divers can also expect to see schools of baitfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, and even the occasional shark. The reef is also a great place to find macro life, such as nudibranchs, shrimp, and sea anemones.
