Site Description Laura Security Shipwreck

The Laura Security is a popular wreck dive site located in the Red Sea, near Ras Shukhier, Egypt. It was originally a cargo ship named Baltica, built in 1956. In 1983, the ship ran aground and was stranded. Today, the wreck is a popular destination for scuba divers due to its shallow depth and easy access. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate. The wreck itself is relatively shallow, with the main deck sitting at around 6 meters (20 feet). However, there are some deeper sections that can be accessed by experienced divers. Depth: The main deck sits at 6 meters (20 feet), with some deeper sections reaching down to 15 meters (50 feet). Conditions: The Red Sea is known for its excellent visibility and calm currents. However, conditions can always change, so it’s important to be aware of the latest forecasts before diving. Marine Life: The Laura Security is home to a variety of marine life, including colorful fish, eels, octopus, and crustaceans. You may even spot a shark or two!
