Gota Showarit is a small, egg-shaped reef located at the end of a large fringing reef that surrounds the island of Showarit and extends far to the north. It lies 5 kilometers off the mainland and around 10 kilometers north of Hamata, Egypt in the Red Sea.

Gota Showarit is a great option for new divers due to the shallow depths and easy access. The sheltered location from wind and waves by the nearby islands Siyul and Showarit creates calm diving conditions.
Start of the Dive: Divers typically begin the dive directly from the dive platform of the liveaboard.
Underwater Features: The seabed slopes gently down from a depth of around 10 to 15 meters. As you head west, keeping the reef on your right shoulder, you’ll approach the A A coral garden which extends along the entire western side of the reef.
Exiting the Reef: When leaving the sheltered area of the reef, there’s a chance of encountering currents. It’s recommended to follow the slope north along the coral garden and turn back at the end to return to the starting point.
