Eel Garden dive site, located in Aqaba, Jordan, earns its name from the abundant garden eels that reside in the sand and grass areas.
It’s likely one of the largest populations in the Red Sea, offering an excellent area for underwater photography.
The dive begins with a sandy slope starting from 5 meters down to 20 meters, covered in garden eels. To observe them, divers need to remain still for the eels to emerge.
Continuing your dive to 30 meters, you’ll encounter a fantastic display of black corals. The pinnacle is adorned with an array of soft corals and is home to many different species of Morays.
In addition to the Eel Garden, this site hosts an assortment of other interesting critters. Crossing the sand and heading left from the shore, you’ll find grass areas surrounding several coral reefs that host beautiful marine life
