Site Description Cominoland - MV

Located off the shore of Xatt l-Ahmar in southeast Gozo, the MV Cominoland wreck is a fascinating dive site for experienced scuba divers. With a maximum depth of around 40 meters, this former Captain Morgan Cruises passenger ship was scuttled in August 2006 along with MV Karwela to create an artificial reef. The wreck, sitting upright on a sandy seabed, is approximately 35 meters long and has two decks for exploration. Scuba divers, particularly those with deep and wreck specialties, can safely penetrate the wreck through various openings cut before scuttling. The dive typically starts at 32 meters, with the deck at 35 meters and the bows reaching a depth of 39 meters. The MV Cominoland wreck is renowned for its interesting features and is often combined with a dive on the nearby MV Karwela wreck. Whether chosen as a shore dive or from a boat, this site offers a full day of underwater exploration in Gozo.
