Site Description Salmedina

Salmedina is an oceanic reef formation with a large underwater plate and rocks, with two wrecks next to the base of a lighthouse. It is located off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia, and is a popular dive site for both experienced divers and beginners. Salmedina is home to a variety of marine life, including: Tropical fish: Angelfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, and more. Sharks: Nurse sharks, reef sharks, and even the occasional hammerhead shark. Sea turtles: Green sea turtles and hawksbill sea turtles. Rays: Eagle rays, stingrays, and manta rays. Corals: Hard corals, soft corals, and gorgonian corals.
