Site Description The Colima Wreck

The Colima Wreck is a popular scuba diving site located off the coast of Manzanillo, Mexico. The wreck is a 19th century steamship that sank in 1891 after hitting a rock. The ship is now sitting in 60 feet of water and is home to a variety of marine life, including sea turtles, sharks, and rays. The Colima Wreck is a large, steel-hulled steamship that is approximately 300 feet long and 40 feet wide. The ship is broken into several pieces, but the hull is still largely intact. The wreck is covered in marine life, including hard and soft corals, sponges, and algae.
