As we depart from the fringing zone of the Moon Valley dive site, we are greeted by schools of fusiliers and sardines amidst the clear blue waters. However, the true marvels of the reef lie deeper down, between 15-25 meters, where the finest corals await.
Depending on the dive and conditions, we’ll either follow the contour of the reef to the left or right. Here, amidst the soft corals, we’re treated to a breathtaking sight, often encountering turtles and larger pelagic species. It’s essential to keep an eye on the open blue, as sightings of eagle rays and barracuda are common.
